Received the same call as you did. Apparently the person they're supposedly looking for had this number at inert time. Definitely a scam due to the fact the number they're calling from is a spoofed one because the incoming call showed as my home number.
Scam, scam, scam
Received the same call that the rest has posted and I definitely think it is a scam, but I do not appreciate them calling my work number and it is embarrassing if nothing else. These people need to be put in jail for this nonsense.
This is a scam. MY girlfriend has been receiving this message for over a month. When I pick up the phone to tell them to F&*k-off they hang up as soon as they hear my voice. So I haven't yet been able to tell them that I will report them, their number and their threats to the authorities. If they call you and you actually answer tell them to get lost and that you will be contacting the police (who won't do anything), the BBB, the FBI and the consumer protection agency. This is a scam and nothing more than a scam. They may contact your employer because they have accessed your personal information. I am not sure who you should contact, but I am sure that if you pay them you are a fool. And they will come back at you under a different scam again and again.
They keep calling my husband at work. He is so embarrassed because one of his coworkers answered the phone and heard the message. How do you get them to stop? This is Harassment.
