I received a call from this number indicating that hackers are trying to get in my computer. The gentleman whom had a very heavy accent indicated he worked for global PC and was out of Brooklyn, New York.he kept telling me I needed to turn on my computer so he could fix it. he refused to give me his name or employee number until I turned on my computer and did what he said. He said that if I didn't believe him I should just hang up. Which I did! !
I received a call from this number as well this afternoon. He had very broken English. Told me I had a virus on my computer. I said, "I think you're lying to me". He claimed not. I told him I had his number on my phone and was going to report him to the police. I got a nice dial tone! SCAM...
These guys sound like they are from are India or Pakistan (usually) judging by my knowledge of accents. I get a call from these jokers about once a year or so, telling me how my pc is poluting the universe and sending out a virus to infect the world. Since they have been tracing me for weeks, why can't they tell me where I am or whether or not my computer is turned on? Hunh?
