CA Police YC called and then they hung up on me. So I googled the number and found this blog. Next time I will use my air horn in the phone, if this becomes a problem of them calling me all the time.
My heart stopped when I saw CA Police on my caller ID, I thought my son, or boyfriend was hurt and police were calling me. No message, so It scared me, luckily I know to type the number online to look up and see if it's telemarketers, but it still scared me
They call constantly. What is worse is they say that they don't fall under the state or national DO NOT CALL guidelines. They refuse to remove your number and call several times a week - sometimes a day.
File a complaint with the FCC on their website. www.fcc.gov. It will get addressed, it will take place with normal gov't bureaucratic speed (zzzz) but they will address it. I have filed a number of complaints and I get responses, with action, mailed to me (traceable documentation). Takes tiem but it works.
