What bathtub scum. The caller id read "Payphone", The message indicated they were trying to contact me. The IRS is bringing a lawsuit against me. The instruction was to call (209) 643-0152 for more information on the case. I think I just might call them - for fun. LOL
Also got the call and thought to call back, but thought they might trace my line. No answer...what's the point of the scam then? Thanks for the effort.
I didn't received the call from 209-643-0152 but was told to call this number for further information. The message left on voice mail was "this is to inform me that this was a final notice & the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us and to call this number for further information" I received the call from 817-647-9067. Of course I got a little nervous about it, but couldn't imagine why, we had no problems with the IRS & had ever been contacted before. When I tried to call both numbers back I got a message that my call could not be completed as dialed. When I looked the number up, I saw these other complaints I made a complaint on the IRS website as a scam.
