I received a voicemail twice from this phone number with this same threat information. I'm glad to hear that this is just a scam and I'm glad that I did not call them back. Thanks for the heads up.
Same call from this number that stated in my caller ID coming from COULTERVILLE, CA. Said he was officer John White and that they had issued an arrest warrant for me. This is the first time they had left a message like this. I didn't pick up.

The reason to this call is to inform you that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you and your physical address is under federal investigation. So call me back to get the detailed information about your case. My callback number is 209-682-5641. I repeat, it's 209-682-5641. It's really important we hear from you today. Thank you."
I called back and got a voice mail saying I'd reached the Internal Revenue Service. I didn't leave a message. If this had been legitimate, "John White" likely would not have had a foreign accent; also he wouldn't have identified himself as being from the "IRS Department" but would have used the proper name of the organization; he would have used my name; and he wouldn't have used bad grammar as in "the reason to this call" or "the detailed information." Also, he wouldn't given me a heads-up by mentioning an arrest warrant! As I understand it, the IRS does not directly issue arrest warrants anyway.
Beware this a scam u get this do not call back that number Google IRS phone scams it is even on u tube the news papers. They called me a couple days I called back and they said I was going to jail if I do not pay the money I owed also said they would freez my bank account and the cops will come to my house in 1 hour if I don't go to a store where they do money grams and when I got there he will give the info and wanted be on the phone while I drive this crazy but this scammers thought I was falling for it I stung him along they try put fear In people and that is sad some people would believe them they have fake id number read all these fake charges he gave some common name like Jason white the guy was from over seas in a call center it was loud he could speak good English I will report this in am.
