My number got Spoofed a few months back. got so bad I had one lady who was going to "hunt me down" if I didn't stop calling her! Took me some time to figure out what was going on. This was my cell phone number, which telemarketers/scammers use my number so it will show up on your caller ID but it's not really coming from my phone. I now have on my outgoing message on my cell that "if you don't know me, then this is what is happening so just don't answer it and don't bother calling me back, sorry for the inconvenience." I've gotten some nice replies from people saying that sucks, good luck! talked to a few who had never heard of it, so educating along the way. I just never pickup ANY calls I don't personally know any more. Doesn't make them stop or get less often though!
