Just received a call from this 210-280-8919 #, Obviously middle Eastern/Indian decent, could barely make out what the female was saying. After she said that she saw my resume and would like to me to attend a job fair in Tampa FL at a Holiday Inn Express, Thurs 5/21/09 10a-2p... I had to ask 3 times if she was calling from Texas as 210 is a San Antonio prefix... She stated no, I think that is odd. Anyways I tracked down the # to the HIE in Tampa on N. Dale Mabry Hwy and there is in fact a job fair scheduled for 5/21/09 10a-3p... Not sure what is going on or if this is legit or not, there has to be better things to do than try to scam people and families who have lost their jobs recently. Just wanted to let you all know what I found, remember desperation for opportunity does not mean we have to lower our guard down. GOOD LUCK!!!
Just got a call as well - no one on the other end so I hung up. Are they trying to verify our numbers are real belonging to live, real people so they can spam us later? I call all over for business reasons and can't afford not to answer since it may be a client returning my call on their personal cell so this is particularly aggravating.
I just received a call from this number. The lady on the phone sounded Indian and said that she was calling from NY. Wanted to know if I had an Active Security Clearance and to invite me to a Job Fair to be held on Tuesday, June 2,2009 at the Westin Hotel, 7801 Leesburg, Pike, Falls Church, VA 22043. She offred a number to call for directions (516) 942-7579. She also asked that I go online to pre-register for the job fair at :www.securityclearanceexpo.com and promised to call with a reminder the day before the scheduled job fair.
