They called my cellphone at 4:43 PM on 1/16/08. No message, id, or anything else. I never signed up for any "Job Expo" stuff, so they must have been sold my contact information from a web site like CareerBuilder.com. I do not like the fact that they are using my cell number! Is there a way of blocking these calls?
i got a call today 01/18/08 from this number i let it go to voicemail, the caller didnot leave a message. I have made some online job applications this week, not sure if that's how access was gained to my cell number.
the guy call and said I got approved for a goverment grant, wanted my account information cause he was going to wire 5000 into my account just cause i file my taxes on time and meet a income requirment. They were very pusy and sounded real, said they were from the us goverment grant agency. They all sounded from India. I wouldn't give the first one my info so he then transfered me to his suporvisor. I knew it was too good to be true. I even asked for them to give me a number to call back and they said that the "verification" line will provid me with that after I give them my infomaiton. Called from a san antonio, texas line and said they are located in Sac California? How crazy is that?
Got a call on Saturday (1/20/08) and again today. Picked up to day and was hesitant when I answered. Took to long for them ans they hung up. I have my resume posted on multiple job websites so I assume they are calling for the same reasons they are calling everyone else.
