I also recieved the same phone call. I was instructed by telus to call the national do not call list at 1-866-580-DNCL (3625). They are open between 8:30am and 4:30pm monday to friday. Heres hoping it actually sticks. Hope this helps :)
This number has called me 8x in 30 minutes the guy says his name is Micheal and he is with tax loan services and he is offering me 5,000.00 I say I am poor and no way to pay him back and he hung up and called right back started using my full name when I never told him my name. He also mentioned my bank when I never told him my bank name.

It is now Sept 2014 and this number is still calling; still trying to SCAM people. 55+ PAGES of complaints! We were not at home, but came home to find a message on the ans. machine, a partial pre-recorded offering to 'lower our interest rate' and to 'press 9' if we were interested. Of course no one pressed 9. Caller ID said "TEXAS" and this number.
WHY haven't the feds BLOCKED this number from being used? WHY haven't they shut these SCUMBAGS down? WHY haven't they FINED the bajeebers out of them? WHAT RICH SOB IS BEHIND THIS THAT IS BEING PROTECTED BY SOME CONGRESSMAN OR OTHER POLITICO?
