actually, i do not believve they are violating anything, unless they leave a message..more than one message. If you answer the phone, they will not call again because they cannot harrass you by calling you more than once, but if you do not pick up the phone, they assume you are not home, and keep calling until they get someone! Leaving more than one messAGE would be a violation and prove that they are calling you all day long. when they leave no message, and get no answer, they are not doing anything wrong .
So, it is Chase Card Services.. and they only call you if you are late paying your bill. Pick it up, tell them you will pay it and you will be good to go~!
This is one of about five different numbers chase is using to harass me. I am on a debt elimination plan and am paying them one hundred dollars regularly every month. I have already let them know that they are next on the plan and that I will have the current project paid off at the first of the year, but they keep hounding me. I just ignore them.
Everytime I try to answer I hear nothing in the background so I hang up. Thirty minutes to an hour they call back and do the same thing. I wish they would leave a message or something.
I have received calls from this number for almost a year. One day as I was driving to school, I didn't look at the number and answered it. It was some Indian woman that couldn't even pronounce my name correctly asking for me to pay $1600 worth of debt that was not mine...She argued with me without any reason. I'm sorry, but I did not incur a debt that large on my credit card. I went home that night and looked on my statements and none of them showed a $1600 balance...something is wrong with these people. I still get phone calls from them, but I never answer. This is really annoying seeing how they call me Monday through Sunday from 7AM-12PM...I would like to enjoy my sleep!
That is because most of the calls come from outsourced call centers in India and their time is of course different from ours. They do not understand you half the time and they over talk constently. It is quite exparating!!!
