shake them off, by 1st use voice recorder for unknwn incoming-numbers, 2nd play their game tell them what they want to hear and get their info. 3rd anotate the times of call to match area code ,if its a collector they are restricted to certain hrs.or some businesses have specific hrs of operation.4th be very clear to them that you do not want any phone calls from them (business/company/service/collectors) that if they call again it will be considered stalking, harrasing, intemidating,and/or provocation. 5th make sure your phone company provider refreshes/ updates the phone# to your info, call someone with caller id , to verify that the phone company tech did their job.
