The calls you get from this phone number is a company stating they are "AFS". When I asked them what the initials stood for, I was told Accounts Financial Services. I told them an internet search stated they were a scam. She told me they were not and needed to verify my number to pull up my account. I gave them the phone number from my department. She said there wasn't any accounts with that number. I laughed. She said she had to get off the phone. I told her I had more questions. She hung up. I called back and the number won't go through. Imagine that!
I merely called as someone was afraid they were going to be sued and arrested for not providing information to them.
received a call from this number today (210-787-1076) - recording told me my SSN and other information was being forwarded to AFS and to call 888-870-4030. This is a SCAM - do not call them and do not provide anyone with any additional personal information. I am reporting both numbers to the FTC.
