We attempted to rent a home found on Criagslist and this was the contact number of the person who supposedly owned the home. He (conveniently) is now living in San Antonio, TX and his home for rent is in Pell City, AL! This number is nothing more than a rental SCAMMER as I found out after further research. Do not communicate with this fraud.
We also checked into this rental property and also contacted the county to see If this home qas in fact a rental property or maybe a home that is being foreclosed on the agent we spoke with said he believed it to be a rental but something is fishy about this property.... Beware
Thank God I found this - I was so excited to rent a house posted on Craigslist and figured I better do some research before handing over any money. I'm so glad that I didn't give them personal information before doing a google search. Thank you - You truly saved me.
He also has an add on craigslist for a rental property in leesburg Ga, wow he responded with a very detail and personal rental application form for me to fill out and how to send the money if I am approved. Good try scammer! So glad I checked before I fell into this.
Scam... we received several like detail replies on various rentals. This was listed in Sumter Sc. Replies are very in depth. Bewate... if to good to be true it probably is.
Agreeing with the others here. The price for a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath rental seemed way too good to be true ($1200 for a listing in Santa Rosa, CA). In an email, the man claims to be an evangelist formerly from Poland. My husband telephoned him and said he sounded like he was Middle-Eastern. Wanted to rent us the place site unseen but wanted us to put down the money (1st and deposit) before he would FedEx the keys. Yikes.
