In case anyone is interested in the phone call rather than whether the DNC is a Bush or Obama deal -- yes, it shows up as VERIZON - but it's the same old scam - "congratulations, you are eligible for an Alert---coupons---etc."
Yes, you can. For $35 - $50 you can purchase a call blocker that can block up to 1500 numbers including entire area codes. Most can be set to suppress the first ring so you never even know they called unless you check the list of blocked calls. Some can even be programmed to only allow numbers you enter to ring with directions on how to reach you if their number is not on the list.
Yet another flim-flam call from the flim-flam man. Bring back any memories? I received the call at 3:22 pm PST. My CID said VERIZON, with the coma. I stupidly answered to hear that my medical alert product was ready for shipping or words to that effect and hung up before listening to whatever came next. Newly armed with my consumer rights I was going to tell Verizon all about how they should not be calling. I will be reporting to all appropriate places.
