In case anyone is interested in the phone call rather than whether the DNC is a Bush or Obama deal -- yes, it shows up as VERIZON - but it's the same old scam - "congratulations, you are eligible for an Alert---coupons---etc."
ID display showed "Verizon". When answered a recorded message stated, "Your Medic Alert is ready for shipping. Press #1 now." Considered it a scam or telemarketer and hung up.
Caller id said Verizon. answered to see why verizon was calling . Message said your medical alert order is now ready, press one to complete order. Hung up and reported it to Verizon 's fraud dept. said they would check it out and shut down number. Verizon was helpful and took my call seriously.
Since they start the message with "your package is ready", and continue their fuktard robocall message about adding 1000 dollar free coupons etc-don't fall for this
