Also received a call from that number with a very blunt message, "Bob, this is John Fendrick. Call me back."
So I did so that I could rip him a new one. It's some investment house boiler room with a "new IPO" coming out next week. I read him the riot act and told his message was rude and presumptious, and hung up on him.
Took a call for my boss - a call from John Frederick of JP Turner, asking for return call. I asked to see what this is regarding, he said my boss should know. I know all his calls and I know he does not know what this is about.
Just got 2 calls from this guy. First call said his name was Dan Cooper and asked for my boss's voice mail. I kept probing but he was insisting he leave a message. I accidentally hung up on him--really! Few minutes later, he calls back again and says it's John Fendrick. I told him that wasn't the name he used the last time, and he said he was Dan Cooper calling "on behalf of" John F. I told him my boss wouldn't call back if he didn't know what the call was concerning. He started to mumble something, but I hung up on him. This time it wasn't an accident.
