Just got 2 calls from this guy. First call said his name was Dan Cooper and asked for my boss's voice mail. I kept probing but he was insisting he leave a message. I accidentally hung up on him--really! Few minutes later, he calls back again and says it's John Fendrick. I told him that wasn't the name he used the last time, and he said he was Dan Cooper calling "on behalf of" John F. I told him my boss wouldn't call back if he didn't know what the call was concerning. He started to mumble something, but I hung up on him. This time it wasn't an accident.
Asked for one of our partners. I asked what company he was from and he kept repeating John Fendrick's office. When I pressed him for a company he said he didn't know, he was just a temp who started today.
The caller gave me this number for my boss to call and the name John Fendrich (he spelled it for me). When I kept asking if he was representing a business or if it was personal, he just kept saying, I believe it is. Then I said, "So you're not sure?" He said, just have him call John Fendrich. I threw away the message.
I got the same voice mail message "This is John Fendrick, please call 212-380-1787." I googled it and got to this site. I deleted the message without returning it.
John Fendrick (he uses different names sometimes) works for Meyers Associates LLC in New York, calls himself VP Investments and gets the phone numbers from google, ivy league alumni books etc. and tries to get new clients.
