We are on the Do Not Call list, but have been getting telemarketing calls almost daily for the past few weeks. Today's was from 212 514-5333, like the above, and the name "Blackwall Capit" was on my Caller ID. If I don't know the caller, I will no longer answer my phone, and this company is betting on having someone answer it and doesn't leave a message. I'm sure they'll be calling back.
"Brendan" called for our chairman and said he was from a company named "Blackwall". When I asked what the call was regarding he said, "It's regarding Blackwall". How very helpful...

Got call at office asking for the owner saying "is ______ in" like he knew him or something. I immediately asked who was calling and he promptly hung up on me. 212 numbers are always a pain in the [***]. It's always some investment/brokerage BS.
I got the same exact call today that I did on 10/5. I asked who was calling and was immediately hung up on. Will be handling this call differently the next time they call.
Got the call again. This time when they asked for my boss I immediately asked if they were going to hang up on me when I ask who they are. He said he never called. Told him I have it documented, he said its a main line and it wasn't him. Told him I don't care who called that every call from that line ends the same. They hang up when I ask who is calling. This loser was so terrible. I had to ask if they were calling from "Blackwell" and he said yes. The name he gave me was the same name as my boss which is funny and quite doubtful. I asked him to tell me what it is regarding and he said "Nokia". I asked for an elaboration and he said "Nokia, the cell phones". Yes dumbass I know what Nokia is, now tell me what the hell about Nokia you are calling. He said everyone knows about Nokia. Again, that wasn't the question. I asked if it was about investments he said no. Sure it isn't.
Boss uses an iphone. If it isn't about investments why do you need to speak with him about a cell phone brad he does not use?
Guy got attitude because I kept telling him they call here and hang up. He said he will speak to my boss and tell him I'm unprofessional. I answer so many calls a day and I get so many junk calls. Do you know how irritating it is to have them constantly hang up when I ask who is calling? The other junk callers at least give me information before I inform them the boss ain't in. Whats funny is that this guy doesn't understand that #1 I've already told my boss about these calls and #2 I always answer the phone so they won't be speaking with the boss at anytime.
I called 212-514-5333 and told the nice girl that answered (be nice to the people answering the phone if you call yourself) to let the people who makes their calls know that if they want to speak with a CEO of a company that you are not going to get through by just asking for them by their first name only and then hanging up when the receptionist asks more questions in order to screen the calls as we are REQUIRED to do. She placed us on the do not call list so hopefully I won't hear from these jokers again.
