Who called from 2128012382

I just received multiple texts from this and two different numbers (877-285-0956 and 815-304-7646) saying that my account at Alarion Bank has been deactivated and that I needed to call 212-801-2382 to re-activate, but I do not have an Alarion account.  I called it just for giggles and it is a generic voice activated banking system that says to enter your account number, SSN and then a third identifier.  I just put in random numbers to see what would happen.  I feel bad for the idiots out there who might be prey to this.

I got a text message from this number today also saying Rockford Bank locked my account/card. Call us immediately. I have no account there.

I also received multiple text messages today saying to call 2128012382 and 8153047646.  One shows and address of [email protected] and one is from [email protected].  These people are so stupid, they can't even spell annual.  In one of the messages, it is anual.

If you go to Alarion Banks website, it has a security alert on the front page about this scam.

Unfortunately these idiots appear to be forging text messages from our number and referencing the 2128012382 number.  We're getting pounded with calls.  Grrr.

eMonitoringSolutions has nothing what-so-ever to do with this apparent phishing scheme.  So if you call a toll free number and talk to me - be nice.  ;-)
