probably a telemarketer or it could be a scam pc repair from Florida or the UK.  I get these even at 3 in the morning.   There is nothing to be done until the government steps in or the phone companies get there heads on and put a call block on all telemarketing and other nuisence callers they don't answer or just kept pressuring you to get there products.  Don't answer your phone unless you know the caller.  If it is important they will leave a message

I have had calls saying urgently trying to get hold of the CEO prior to an urgent meeting.  He will know what its about.  Pose as a specialist company but thanks to this site, tracked them on the web and yes, they are another sales company.

If you are contacted by a representative of GDS International, it is unlikely they will tell you that's where they are calling from. GDS International's employees open their calls claiming to be a senior executive from one of their 'Next Generation' projects. They will say they are calling off the back of a recommendation of a highly influential business leader who is 'attending' the event and would like to meet a company specializing in you area of expertise. These are all lies. GDS International's employees source their leads from the internet and are trained to give you an angle based on whatever your company does. This makes the call seem like it is important and worth listening to as the topic of discussion is so relevant to you. Most of the information here will be regurgitated from your company's website.

Please be aware that if you have been contacted on your mobile phone, there is a strong possibility that they have lied to one of your employee's to get your number. We have sourced training material from previous GDS International's employees that tell them to lie and to scheme their way past secretary's. There have been known instances of sales staff posing as a doctor from a nearby hospital, wanting to have an executive's number to give them their test results. This is the calibre of people that you are dealing with.

They will then explain that they are organizing a high level business summit, with one of the main topics in discussion being whatever your company does. At this stage they will take you onto one of the Next Generation branded websites and ask you to click on the attendee section of the page. This page is always password protected. The reason for this is that GDS International can control who looks at their attendee list and can upload anybody's name at any time to influence you into joining the event. They will claim that every person on the list is 'contractually confirmed' to attend the event. These are lies, if they were contractually confirmed there would be no need to password-protect their attendee page. Most of the names on this list will never have heard of GDS International, let alone contractually confirm themselves to the event. Expect this list to look nothing like the actual list of executives who you will meet at the event itself.

They will then explain the process of the event and how there will be only 20 sponsor companies versus 60 highly influential business leaders. This is also a lie, they will get as many sponsor companies as physically possible to attend. They will claim there will be only 2 companies in your specialized area attending to ensure exclusivity. These are lies; they will take the sponsorship money from anyone who is willing to pay.

You will then be pushed into doing the deal itself there and then. They will ask you questions about your budget, who is the final decision maker and who will sign off. Expect the sign-off person to be pursued non-stop until you sign up to the event. The will claim that 18 of the 20 sponsor packages have been taken, and that if you want to get involved, you'd better get involved quickly. If you cannot sign up there and then, expect them to send you all of the information in an email and contact you shortly to get your buy in.

After the initial call, they will explain how they have been speaking about your company to the influential delegates and that they are very interested in discussing your products at the event. They will then give you and urgency story to get you involved quickly. The truth is that none of the processes that they describe have actually happened. If they try to push you into a high value deal, please be aware that you can get the package at their rock bottom price of around £15,000 though it is advised not to work with GDS International on any front. You are better off using a reputable company and saving your marketing budgets. Do not be fooled, the pitch will sound like it's a perfect fit for your company, but the reality is it's a perfect fit for any and every company, as it is highly exaggerated and mostly lies.
