Calling with that ever-so-famous Indian accent ... said he's from Microsoft. I said "you need all my information so you can fix it " ??? Knowing full well this was a scam he hung up on me before I had a chance to blow my whistle in his ear.
Got a call from this # today - multiple times from this # for a year. Hong Kong has just passed a law requiring carriers to add the sign + in front of incoming call # to identify calls coming from overseas disguised as local # to curb phone scams. May be we should have that law here in the USA.
Tried to scan me with 'your computer is sending out virus's' bull-S.
Let him get me to his supervisor to go thru the steps. He says next to your Control key is a windows key. I kept yelling at him no.... No, it's a shift key and ALT. he argued with me, back and forth about 4 times til I yelled NO Its aSHIFT key!!!!
I always string these guys along to waste their time. May prevent one person from getting scammed. Don't do anything they tell you to do on the computer.
