Same Chris as above^
Tracked some info on the phone#.....here is what I found.
Company these fraudsters are making the calls from is actually Southwestern Bell who is affiliated with AT&T. They are using "real-time phones" which are pretty much phones that are capable of showing a different number than the one they are actually using. That is why you are unable to call them back. I will be digging deeper to stop these [***] holes. Called the wrong guy this time ;)
I just received a call from this number. I did not answer it. I checked this site and read what has been said. The reason I am posting is I downloaded a virus protection program yesterday. Avast to try it out and now I am on these peoples radar. Pretty coincidental if you ask me but you decide.
These a..wipes just called. Their calls had stop for a while but have started up again. Just keep them on the line or just go through the motions with them without touching your computer. They will spend money on the call, you will get the last laugh. Bunch of idiots going after innocent people.
This goofball called me today and hung up when I asked him to tell me what MAC address he thinks I have.
This is a great site!! - I wish I would have looked this up before I spent the time doing a full scan..
I just received a telephone call (probably from the same Indian-accented guy) that others have talked about on this site. Don't know what company he represents, but I had a "freeze" on my computer (a hack ???) yesterday (9/29/15), and today the follow-up telephone call came from probably the same guy/company. He probably wanted to collect his $199 that was showing on my computer yesterday when he wanted to "fix" my computer. I hung up on him today. Phone number that he used (to call me) was: 213-102-3456.
