They called me saying something about I needed to call them back ASAP as they had some tax case against me and that I was going to be arrested. Mind you they did not ask for anyone. I have no ideal what these people are talking about. Then my phone just rang again from a number in Texas with the same message. This crab has to stop!
I received a call from this number. No message was left. Called the number back and received the "this number is no longer in service or has been disconnected" automated voice response from Verizon.
This telemarketer uses a computer program that makes different random numbers and names show up on your caller I.D. so blocking them may not work. - I have a call blocker that blocks the "Unavailable / Unidentified / 800" calls and it also blocks all numbers coming from any "Entire area code". The offending number still shows up on my caller I.D., but the phone doesn't ring. This greatly cuts down on nuisance out of state telemarketers but unfortunately I have to put up with the local pests but I never answer unfamiliar numbers.
It was a recording that was trained to listen to your response. Called at 7:30 stating I had won a free 5 day cruise and would be eligible for another free cruise. Stated I needed to be 28+ and have a credit card. Asked me if it was ok to transfer my call to a person, I hung up. Never stated any name or identifying information for a company but called me a "high priority customer". I assume if I would have stayed on the line, they would have requested the credit card info to "book" the "free cruise".
cell phone rang; did not recognize the number so I did NOT answer. No message was left. This MUST NOT BE VERY IMPORTANT!
...
FYI- You should NEVER answer the unknown call (just to "mess" with them) and try to vent your anger. The only thing that accomplishes is that ANSWERING the call CONFIRMS that the phone number is VALID and can now be SOLD TO OTHER TELEMARKETERS!
