They left a message on my voicemail saying just "contact us at 213-237-3737". I see from posts above that it is LA Times. I've also been getting e-mail from them recently.
I cannot believe these [***] are still calling me. Got the Times for a minute, attempted to cancel, got the same run-around horsesh*t that you guys got. I was told this first time that I had an outstanding bill for $39.99 (which I didn't), but - being a decent humanist citizen - I paid it. Got another 50 calls (literally) a SINGLE WEEK LATER, demanding more money. I talked to customer service. They explained that my request to cancel had "somehow not gotten through to them (customer service)" but had instead been sent to billing. Billing, they explained, does not handle cancellations. In order to correctly cancel, I was told, I would have to pay a one-time fee of $4.99. Are you kidding me?! This is a SCAM! Like a fool, I paid it. And they laid off for about... a week. Then the calls started again, this time from our infamous 213-237-3737. I ignored as long as I could, answered a few times and screamed violent threats at the recordings, all to no avail. They're going on the blocked call list, but honestly, I'm ready to file suit against this piece of SH*T scam f*cking "business." I don't even live in LA anymore! And they still call! It's not even possible for me to get your damn paper anymore! LAY THE F*CK OFF!
Yep, have been getting calls daily from this number for the past week, will have to report it, driving me mad. I dont answer the call, if it was urgent they would leave a message.
