The same caller called and left a voice message saying that someone is filling a lawsuit against me, but never said who the person filling against me was.
I received that same call from the same number 213-255-0887 claiming that they were IRS and that I owe money for mistakes on my taxes. We they choose the wrong person since I happen to work for the IRS. It is IRS policy to never contact customers by phone for the collection of money owed . We will notify you by certified mail, with a green return receipt card signed by you. DO NOT remit any money to them this is a scam.
I just got a call from 2132550887, not more than 5 minutes ago. the caller is a woman with a foreign accent stating i owed 10000 to the irs for a mistake made on my taxes. when repeatedly asked her for a number to her supervisor to verify who she was. she did not want to give me the number. and stated the sheriff will come to my door in 45 minutes to arrest me and seize all my property and bank accounts and throw me in jail for 5 years. i simply told her that i will call the irs to verify she is who she says she is and they should be able to give me a number directly to her. then she god belligerent stating, she does not care about what happens to me if i dont settle this account NOW. so then she finally gave me the 1800 number for the irs.

Called me 2 days in a row & left a message. So I called the 800 # for the IRS. She told me we wouldn't contact you via phone in the first place. Then when she checked her system she didn't find any reason for the IRS to contact me. I was told to file an official complaint with the treasury inspector general.
