The same caller called and left a voice message saying that someone is filling a lawsuit against me, but never said who the person filling against me was.
I just got a call from this same number 213-255-0887 saying tha I owe money to the IRS. The IRS has a policy in place that they never call customers. If you do owe the IRS they will contact you by certified mail with a green return receipt card. Never by phone.
rec'd call from 213-255-0887. they left a message with synthesized voice:
"news is the irs is filing lawsuit against you. to get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 213-255-0887. i repeat 213-255-0887. thank you. <silence for 5 seconds>" verbatim transcription
called the irs to inform them of the scam, then blocked number.
rec'd call from 213-255-0887. left a message saying the IRS was suing me. information states the possible owner of phone number 213-255-0887 is: CHAD near LOS ANGELES, CA. reported to authorities and blocked number.
