Just received a message on my home phone from this number, stating to be the IRS. He spoke with an Indian accent, stating his name was Alex White, I believe, and kept repeating that he was from the IRS. He asked that I call back immediately in response to a negative lien against my name from the IRS. Not sure if he got my number from the phone book or what because I don't use my home phone number for much. Definitely a SCAM, but luckily I did not fall for it. I have heard lots of talk of this scam in the last few weeks. I hope reporting this helps to stop these people from taking advantage of the less informed and gullible.
