I received a call from an Indian man who claimed to work with the IRS from this number. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number; however, He knew my first name but not my last. He said I needed to return his call because it was a drastic matter. I decided to Google the number and found this link. I appreciate everyone's posts because I was going to return his call but decided I should search the number first. The man's name was "Dennis Richards." Thank You to all of you who posted about this.
Same as many others, Indian guy claiming to be Agent. Jack Williams from irs - very difficult to understand him but implied urgency - I thought it odd that there has been no prior written contact - check with your accountant first if you feel you might well be contacted by IRS.
