F all these scammers. You guys are giving Indian people a bad name. Your so stupid you called a microsoft engineer and tried to tell him your from microsoft. Ha Ha, I played your game and let you think you [***] pulled one over but all the while tracking your ips. You better start looking for something else to do cause we are watching you and working in conjunction with local and federal agencies to track you down all. RUN!!!
Well ol' shyam_sh1984 has been calling for days now. I call him Shyam the Scam. When I asked for the IP address of my machine he started by giving me the telephone number as the first octet. He gave me 2 different support ticket numbers, I had to ask for them and this confused him. What an idiot, I kept him on the phone just to waste his time. Please people don't be fooled by this. Microsoft does not call there customers to tell them their home PC has a problem. I've been MS certified since 1996 and have worked as a support engineer since 1988 and NEVER has Microsoft Support called because your PC does not have any way of linking to you telephone number! Besides they had no idea what my IP address was on my PC. Caller ID 441212884545 is a scam.
Thank you for that Jeff, finally someone with some common sense chimed in. I just got a call from Paul Nelson claiming to be from Microsoft Tech Support. Paul went further to tell me my computers were leaking my personal information and were infected with a Trojan Virus. I too am a MS Cert Tech for 13 years. I totally felt this guy was suspect, I took his info down, as if I would call back later when I got in front of my computer.
I called right back to 213/261-7441 number they gave me from another phone I have just as anyone would probably do just to confirm the source. I asked to speak to Paul, Saeed said he was unavailable. Saeed also claiming to be Microsoft Tech answered the phone Microsoft Tech support, provided his name Saeed. Both with India Dialects. I questioned about their knowledge how they could know a computer was indicted from their location, and my computer was leaking personal info? He then proceeded to tell me about the different tech support packages at $88.00 and $100.00. If I wanted them to assist me further, immediately replied now why would I do that I'm a tech myself and can fix my own computer issues. I told him further more I don't believe the call was to alert me of infections on my computer. Saeed replied when Paul gets free he would have him call me back at the number appearing on the caller id display. I told him no need.
I just kept them on the line until they got sick of me. I asked if they ever met Bill. They said they are a small empire and are here to help. Ha Ha Ha... not funny for the poor folks who get scammed by them. Anyhow, hopefully people will listen to us more than the scammers who are putting up bogus comments about how good the support was. What a pain in the [***] though, I just wish they'd stop calling my house with their horrible english.
Leaking information is what they told my wife as well.
ALL ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE. PLEASE LISTEN. IF YOU SPENT ANY MONEY WITH THEM CALL YOUR CC COMPANY NOW AND DISPUTE THE CHARGE. THEN CALL A FRIEND OR MAYBE EVEN THE "GEEK SQUAD" TO COME GET THE VIRUS THESE PEOPLE JUST INSTALLED ONTO YOUR COMPUTER.
