I responded to an ad for a Personal/Administrative Assistant this morning (Saturday) when it appeared in my job search feed. By this evening, I received information similar to what I have been reading here; the position has been filled but another individual is looking for a Personal/Admin Asst. I was given a name and an e-mail address. Thinking it was rather odd that I could apply for a job on a Saturday morning and receive a response by Saturday evening, I decided to do some digging. That's when I came across this information. While I never received a phone call from the phone number listed, I did receive information somewhat identical to what some of you have posted. A name given to me was the same as one of the names posted here. I appreciate you guys posting this information. I've been regularly checking on what I thought was a reputable job search site (this is in conjunction with my local newspaper) but now I have to wonder. I'll next reach out to the police. Thanks again!
texted me to purchase an item from craigslist. Said he was from out of state and wanted to make a deposit to hold my item. idiot scammers who wait to give you a bogus check or get your paypal and then screw you once it doesn't clear.
I responded to the ad by Roxanne Behrends looking for a healthcare aid. But she replied and said the position is filled and referred me to her friend Courtney Streit who sent me the exact same email as posed above. I believe they are trying to get you personal info and do bad things with it. It got me suspicious when they are asking for so many personal questions and are being very specific about giving them your physical address and not the po box address. I'm going to call the Mountain Express Idaho to report the scam.
I responded to a health care ad in my local news paper which was the Clayton Daily, like many of you have stated I received an email back from Roxanne Behrends saying the position was filled and she referred me to Courtney Streit. I thought it sounded to good to be true as well. So for sure this is a scam I'm saving all the emails and I'm going to report this as well.
