Was asked if I was senile when I asked if this pretained to an auto warranty.I informed the telemarketer I would be reporting them. I also asked to be removed from call list.
Difficult to understand caller at first could not make out his name or organization. Finaly asked if I owned a 2008 Toyota and did I still live at Street, City. After confirming, the statement that my warantee is about to expire since I did not respond to letters from Toyota. I recieved no letters stating that my warantee is up fpr renewal. Besides, the original warantee is for 7 years and/or 100,000 miles. None the less, the caller said that the case had been turned over to him for processing renwal of the warantee. He said he needed an answer right away or he would have to "Close Out" the warantee. I expained I had the full warantee at purchase and it is not expired. The caller said "I'll have to Close your account." I said I'll call my dealer and find out what the status is and call him back. The caller stated that the account had been turned over to him and that all he could do is close the account. I said, "Fine, Close the account."
Googled the number and came to this site, and that's my two cents worth.
Bumper to bumper has expired on my vehicle according to phone call. Funny, I haven't owned it that long yet. Must have got nervous as I hesitated and talked to my wife quickly. I think I got "we are not", before the line went dead. Stinks he knew my name and my vehicle though. Perhaps some people that call asking for money are legit for this charity or that, but the sad fact is if I'm going to donate, it won't be over the phone with a stranger.
