I got a call on my cell phone didn't answer so they left me a voice mail saying that o had to call back if i cared and if i didnt he sweared to god he was gonnan but me in jail for 5 years .So since I didn't call then called my job saying that he was form the SHERIFF department and that his name was Ronnie Cooper he said that I had to pay the full amount or I would be arrested and since I told him " He'll noo I'm gonna take this to court he got mad and said that I was gonna be arrested by the FBI and the SHERIFF in 30 min. BS there just trying to take your money nd they get your info by payday loan nd it's been 3 hrs so were are they at I'm still waiting i hope someone gets tbis a**holes nd I'm gonna take this to the police dep for identy theft
I am an attorney in Lexington, KY and I received a call from someone today who was in distress about possibly being arrested for not paying on a loan and the call came from a Ronnie Cooper (Indian accent) at 213.289.3789. This person sent them $2500 because he thought it was from a few online loans he had taken out. I had him record a phone call wherein Ronnie Cooper threatens to have him arrested in 30 minutes and that the Court would not give him bail and he'd be in jail for 4-5 days if he didn't send more money. This is totally illegal and a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I attempted to call Ronnie Cooper and he barely talk to me and actually continued to threaten to have my person arrested. He hung up on me numerous times and said his attorney would be calling me in 5 minutes - shock - no call from anyone! Then this Ronnie Cooper calls my client and I told him do not answer any calls from this number and he takes it to the next level and leaves a voice-mail saying he is going to "kill" him now! My guy is reporting this to local law enforcement and we will be informing the FBI regarding this scam - but please, please do not send any money or even talk to anyone calling from 213.289.3789 or claiming to be a Ronnie Cooper with Cash Advance America. If you've taken out online loans then get everything in writing, with account numbers, addresses, etc and make sure you know who you are paying and where it is going! The numbers and names will likely change in this scam so be very careful and smart about someone calling - if they start threatening to have you arrested this is not a legitimate collections agency or company - so ask them to send something in writing and hang up on them and do not answer any more calls and block, the number
they called me also asking me to send 793 using a netspend money pack card or they would have me charger with 3 different charges i sent him 100.00 thinking it was true but after reading what you stated i will not be sending any money to them again. How can i get my 100 i sent them back if you could give me some advice i have a child in wheelchair and i didn't want her to be without her mother so i sent them the 100 netspend money pak card! 843-319-5520
I'm very sorry to hear that you fell for this scam. You won't get your money back, but if it will make you feel any better you aren't the only one to fall for these frauds. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on.
These scams are performed by scum, primarily in India and Pakistan. They learned their tricks from the Americans and are usually backed by westerners. Laugh at the contemptible little weasels. They will sneer at you, but here's a tid-bit of trivia that can help put this in perspective. That pitiful sack of pus that calls you from India is sitting in a foul call center in Mumbai, making money for his master. Who is not an Indian. The obsene parasite making the calls is serene in his assumption that he's making the big bucks. He's got a job, and it entails bilking the hated westerners of their money. He's a fool and a pawn. When caught and pressed he'll be happy to tell you about how much he gets paid. One proudly told me once that he makes 5 times the minimum wage. Yes, India has a minimum wage. He was not happy when I informed him that at 5 times the minimum wage he made less in one day than what I spent on the glass of wine that I had with my lunch. There is a reason that most Indians yearn for the day that they can make enough money to emigrate to the west. Most of them endure a life in a crime ridden, corrupt, over populated cess-pool. They're cheap to employ and are paid exactly what they're worth. Little or nothing.
The reason that India has one of the fastest growing economies is because it's easy to improve from the bottom. If you have a value of 1 and next year it's 2, you've doubled your worth. Numbers are easy to manipulate. Politicians are pros at it. Cut through the B.S. and what you have in India is this. Over a billion people with more than a third of them living well below the poverty level. The Indian poverty level! Making less than $2 US per day. Fewer than 25% of Indians own a vehicle. Of any kind. 2 or 4 wheels. If you see a well off Indian, you're looking at a western educated soul who was born into a very rare family with money. And that person won't spend any more time in India than absolutely necessary. The US, Canada and Europe are brimming with Indians who will laud their country..and never go back. The Pakistanis are even worse. The 'American dream' is alive and well. In India.

Tell him that you have no job. No money. Tell him that times are tough. But they could be worse. You could be living in India.
