Also received a call from this number which is in downtown Los Angeles. Did not answer. Since I see others getting called from this # today, it's a junk call.
Our government spends millions and millions in grants, programs and such to find out why a particular butterfly does whatever....but can't or "will not" fund a program to stop this cancer that is eating up the body of America (the cancer being the onslaught of abusive telemarketing which also lends to the success of scammers and identity thieves...not to mention the complete non existence of what used to be peaceful privacy). The FCC is supposed to be charged with these matters but seams to be more interested in twisting laws and legislation to benefit the wallets of the government and the rich with no concern for the common folk of which this country is founded. To me ones phone number these days should have the same weight as ones SS# in that it is proprietary between partys of concern and cannot be transferred out of that relationship by frivolous "terms and conditions" that one is required to agree to but never reads which gives a business the right to sell or otherwise abuse your phone number.
I answered the call and they asked if there was someone diabetic living in my house. I asked what this was about and how they got this number and they hung up. I tried calling back and I was not able to because it said that this number cannot be completed as dialed. It did have a caller ID : V08182332200709,
