I got a call from 213 300 4131 located in LA California. . I called back and was told that the person answering was with the IRS.Gave me his name and IRS badge number. Heavy Asiatic Indian accent. He thought that he knew my full name and address. Wanted me to verify.I would not. I asked him what he wanted. He said that there is an outstanding issue with the IRS involving me . Because I wouldn't verify my name and address--he finally said that he would contact the local sheriff and have an arrest warrant issued for me. Scam call. Do not give any information to this number of 213 300 4131.
I have had this call, at least the same voice message, a few times before.These people claim to be IRS and even have a website that somehow looks like it is IRS, but on close inspection IT IS NOT! The first time I received this message I returned the call as asked to in the voice mail. A heavily accented male voice asks for personal information and cannot justify that he is IRS and cannot answer my questions about the reason for calling. He became very angry when I did not give info and questioned him. That person then told me to 'go do something obscene with my self'!!! The same recording continued to call back that day, although my caller id showed different numbers. I made a formal complaint through my police department and on a site they directed me to to complain about online problems such as these. As you can see by reading my entry today that that was a futile attempt to uncover, and put an end to these thieves who terrorize citizens gullible enough to buy into their scheme. Take note that the IRS does not make telephone calls!!! EVER!!!
