I got a phone call to my corporate line at 5 AM. However, as I'm on leave taking care of an infant and my corporate line is forwarded to my home. Great way to wake up. No message left.
Prank caller called twice last night (5/10) and made rude remarks. The connection was totally rotten. I could only make out about 1/4 of what was said, but it was enough to know it was probably kids.
Last year I had dozens of calls from a District of Columbia "Skype" number.
I just had this number call me as well. It wasn't quite perverted, but surprising nonetheless. It wanted me to pay a one time $9.99 that'd be added to my cell bill. I didn't accept it of course, as I don't pay for my cell bill since I'm on a family plan.
Has anyone else gotten this? Where they want you to accept a $10 Skype Collect call?
The sound clip for who the person was said "hi hi" or something. It was quite inaudible.
I assume, as for most people here, that this was kids being stupid. There are a few people that "have it out for me" for stupid reasons, but I don't know for sure who it is. I'm sure there's a way to track/trace such a number, just not using conventional methods. I bet the Skype admins have logs somewhere, and it's just a matter of what username(s) are linked to 213-325-3300 and BAM culprits caught.
This all happened at 3:12 AM on Sunday May 16th, 2010. I bet they thought they'd wake me up or something. I don't understand why people take pleasure out of harassing people like this. So sad.
