Called saying they were coming to serve a warrant for an issue from over 10 years ago. As I have enough going right now, initially bought into their crap. Looked up online to find out they change their tune, depending on who they are dealing with. I had to deal with a woman. She couldn't even speak clearly. They are calling back today because I was distracted not to realize yesterday. What a pain. I really don't have time for this kind of annoyance. Wish they could catch these jokers and keep them from doing this to others. Someone in poor health could go over the edge! They didn't have the correct name or the right address. Oh, and my credit history is clear....
It is their responsibility to prove that you owe the debt, not the other way around. They must do this by US mail, not phone or fax or e mail. Paying them anything shows that you are what they consider an easy mark and have fallen for their extortion scheme. As with all extortion schemes they will keep trying to get more from you.

Just called my home. I have a blocker which the caller needs to press 0 in order to get it to ring. Dishonest people can't be bothered with that and the blocker prevents robocalls. Anyway, I always check on here to see who's calling... looks like total scammers as they have used different names/companies/excuses to call people. That number will now never get through here again.
Called, I answered the phone. Man who did not identify himself asked for my husband by name. I asked if I could take a message... he said it was not important and that he would call back. (spoke very politely-unlike some of the previous posts). I called the number back, and it was answered with a recording in Spanish (we don't speak spanish - so unsure what it said.
