Just got a call from 213-333-3206 claiming the whole "your gonna crash your computer" "using microsoft windows" "sending error reports" stuff. Told him it sounded like a scam and ended the call. Looked up the number and well you know the rest if you are reading this.
Well, I got a call from 00 213 3333206, they said like all the others, that they were calling from Microsoft, in bad English, sounded like from India.
I'm based in Sweden, by the way. As I'm maintaining a couple of networks and have been in contact with Microsoft a couple of times, it was pretty easy to say that they weren't from Microsoft. So I had to test them a little.
They claimed that my computer sent them error messages.
When I asked them which computer, and what hardware. That with windows, yeah right.
I use Linux and Mac. I some windows computers too.
I provoked quite good, with several questions, also tried to get the name of the malicious software that supposed to be on the windows computer.
They tried to get me to walk to a computer for some sort of ID nr.
When I asked if he thought I was stupid, I got to talk with some boss.
He was completely frustrated, wouldn't listen or answer questions, just called me stupid.
Then I hung up.
these bloody scamsters call after every 2-3 days and asks for technical help, want to just say [***] to them. talk with heavy accent, not english surely. they need to have a nice thrashing.
The caller sounded much like all of the others, a bandage head from India. He said that he was calling from the technical department of Windows. I said, "No, you're not; you're a liar. G'bye!"
The previous call from these jerks, the male said the same thing and when I told him that I didn't believe him, he said, "Okay, I want to f_ _k your wife." (absolutley true story).
I received DEATH THREATS from one of these 'bandage heads' from India! He was trying to get me to give out my banking info over the phone, and when I refused to cooperate he launched into a tirade, told me he'd send "them" (whomever "them" is) to my home to rape me, and then my family would be killed in front of me.
What a piece of crap. I reported the call to the F.B.I.
