I got a cal from a man from india telling me i have been selected for a free trip and shopping spree. He had a lot of personal information of mine including my checking account routing number and was very agressive to get my account number. it seemed fishy to me so i told him i was not interested. would not take no for an answer so i told him thanks but im not interested. he kept calling and left a message cussing me out and said some perverse stuff. i tried calling back and only got a busy signal.
This is the first time that this # calls me. I missed the call & decided to call back and got a busy dial tone. I looked it up on the internet & came a cross this website. Very scary to see that it's no telemarketer or something of that sort. Becareful people!
The number 213-337-0021 called me at home. When I answered the phone there was a voice message that was in German that would constantly repeat itself. After the 4th time, an Asian man asked for me by name telling me that I had a trip available. He knew my first and last name as well as my address. I called the phone company and told me to call the police to file a police report. I called our local police department and she warned me that there are many scandels going on right now but they cannot do anything YET. She said that is a few weeks, get a credit report to see if anyone has taken my identification. If someone has, she said to call back and the police will be able to help out. The phone company said that if I get a police report number, they will be able to trace the call but only if I had a police report number.
So hopefully these people just had this info and nothing happens.
Both the police and phone company said to not ever give your personal information out for they can use that information and mess you up.
i got a call on my CELL PHONE at 10PM!!! 3 times in 10 minutes. i don't know the number so i declined it. how did they get my cell number?! does my cell carrier sell my number?!
Ok so I have an answer for you all. I know that it comes from an LA area code. I at first did not answer it either because I did not know the number. However it turned out to be a friend of mine calling from Spain. He Bought a calling card in Europe and this is the number that comes up when you use this type of calling card. So clearly the other calls were from people using the same type of calling card. Which is why you can never call them back.
yes - they keep calling my cell phone & asking if i'd like pharmaceuticals. i've asked them to take me off their list but they've been relentless. i have had a number of calls from these scammers & they just won't listen. this is a new # for me so even after registering on the 'do not call' list - i'm still getting hit by them. so far it's been 3x's by an indian sounding man & once from a spanish sounding woman.
