I'm sick of these people who think they call me on a phone that I pay for. Maybe we should all send them our phone bills. This is obviously a scam and probably from a foreign country.
Over the last week I've received at least 2 calls a day from this number.
I've added it to my list of scam callers
Everytime I get a call from numbers on the list I answer "Sheriffs Office Detective Brown speaking". If it's a recording I push to speak to a live person and tell them the same thing. If they give me enough time before disconnecting I ask for their first & last name & the company they are calling from. It's fun to hear them gasp & sputter before they hang up. I stop getting calls from that specific number within a couple days. Of course they eventually start calling from a different number and the process starts all over again. Falsely representing law enforcement is illegal but is a scammer going to report me? I don't think so.
Keep trying to block these numbers if you want, but I've been tracking them for over a year now and the numbers are spoofed. And the numbers change with predictable frequency so as to avoid your blocks. These telemarketers aren't stupid, they are just criminals. That they don't provide YOUR credit card at the beginning of the call is a giveaway as to their intent. They are phishing for your type card, and if you keep going they will ask for balances and numbers. They are probably off shore and therefore couldn't give a crap about our US do not call laws. The only satisfaction a person may get from these cretins is giving them a quick piece of your mind. Or...just don't pick up if you don't recognize the number. My hope is that someday my language will prove so corrosive to the lady on the call that they will quit in frustration; recognizing that their illegal efforts are just not worth the abuse. I can dream.....lol. One more down....
Just one of the MANY scams trying to steal your money. Unfortunetly, these scams will continue, they are like the new email spam. These criminals and their operators know what they are doing is illegal. Criminals do not care about you or the law. Never press a button, never talk to them. They use computers to robo dial numbers. NEver ever give out personal information over the phone. Telemarketing robo calls are illegal. These calls will continue becuase every single day someone gets scammed.
Never give out personal information over the phone. Ignore the calls, and warn others.
Received ANOTHER call from 2133444839 concerning credit card interest. These calls are extremely annoying. On a previous call from them, I pressed the number indicated (7 maybe) but as soon as I started to tell them I did not want them to call my number again, they hung up. I didn't even get the satisfaction of yelling at someone. Whatever happened to DO NOT CALL lists?
