I received a call today from that number. The guy claims to be a lawfirm working for a client that bought out a hospital in f.l Stating I owe money for a hospital bill from 2007 and that they served me to a really old address I don't live in the state of Fl and haven't for over 5 years and he has my phone number but my maiden name birthday and ss# am I being scammed Im supposed to pay them tomorrow but all of these stories are all what I've was told and it was the same guy every time I called
I received the exact same call the amount was different but same reason what are you doing about it ? Should I ignore the call? I'm supposed to call him back in the morning now I'm scared and don't know what to do
Read what BigA posted, plenty of information there to tell you NOT to return the call. Do that and ignore this caller entirely, this crook will need to move along. Their trick is to scare you so you eventually pay a debt you don't owe. If you don't know the number, don't answer in any way and tick them off enough to drive them off.
