Threatening. Male caller left message on our home machine and told us we had to call him back to avoid magistrate or grand jury investigation because of a criminal offense. If we do not call him we could face jail time. He left this number (which matched the caller ID) but did not identify himself or who he [purportedly] worked for.
I got a recorded call with an Indian accent. I called it back and they ended up disconnecting my call 2x and now I can't call the number- it just says it is out of service or a fast busy signal. They tried to tell me I owed $3000 in back taxes from 2011 and they were going to arrest me. I only kept calling back b/c I knew it was a scam, but was curious what else they were going to say.

If we ignore this warning we would face appearance before a magistrate judge or grand jury for a federal criminal offense. If we do not call him we could face jail time. He left this number (which matched the caller ID) but did not identify himself or who he [purportedly] worked for. He ended with "I advise you to cooperate with us to help us help you" so " First part of message was garbled---honestly I could not detect an accent.
We got the same call, all the threats and warnings and nasty middle-eastern caller. Can't understand what he is saying mostly. There has to be a place to report these calls to?
