An obvious scam robo-call call came from this number. The scam involves leaving a stern robo-message, trying to make you think that you suddenly have a legal problem with the Federal government, and you should call right now to "help us help you".
I have rec'd today three robocalls on my land line from this number 213-408-7028--in each case, the LONG message is repeated 3 times. Caller uses non-standard English and identifies himself as "Steve"--he says some gobbly-gook about the US Treasury, court hearings, and my need to protect myself. (My husband phoned this number from his cell and rec'd voice-mail from a "SEAN DIXON" who also identified himself as connected to the US Treasury. This is a truly terrible scam and I don't know who to report it to--
Report it to the Treasury Dept Inspector General office...that's what I did...have at least 4 numbers from a Jamaican scam...and they keep calling me...even after I informed them the jig was up and to lose my number...I even told them that I work for a tax defense law firm in NYC and they were wasting their time trying to run an IRS scam on me...
