As so many others I received a call from this number threatening me with legal action for unpaid taxes if I didn't reply immediately. This is not a new scam. With the governments ability to trace and track every call its curious why they haven't taken action long before.
They say it is the US tres dept, when I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on. The man that answered was foreign said his name was James and his badge number is 10058
Scam caller claimed to be "Officer Judy Smith" from the US Department of Treasury to discuss a matter of tax fraud. Directed me to call back before the case goes to federal claims court or else I'd get arrested. This is clearly a scam: 1) Tax issues would be handled by IRS, not Treasury Dept. 2) IRS would have you phone them, not the other way around.
