We know that in some jurisdictions (low-population areas) the police might call someone and tell them to turn themselves in ... to save the police the trouble of arresting them in front of their family and friends ... but that isn't going to happen in cities. This is sometimes related to "round up the usual suspects"
What was your warrant for? Couldn't have been for debt as that is a civil, not a criminal matter. The police don't involve themselves in such a thing but maybe they do in your world. Where do you live? Zootopia? LaLa land? Lying Shillville? Tell us.
