i just got a call from the same number but did not answer in time. Is this really a sex hotline...dont understand why they would call me. Is it possibile someone gave them my number?
The 213-550-4257 number seems to be some sort of telemarketing scam originating from Los Angeles County Corrections, when I called the mysterious number back for the fifth time, it rang twice each time then went into DEAD AIR as if I never called anyone, just goes SILENT.
I got this call over and over the day before yesterday, then yesterday and all day today, all DEAD AIR when I call back. From what seems like the 50th call, I got really mad today because it called while I was talking with my cousin who's in Hospice care and dying prematurely from a battle with cancer, This time it persisted until I finally flashed over, putting my cousin on hold, but as usual, SILENCE. Nobody there, just the typical dead-air.
I searched Google and came across some codes I could use with my new Comcast line and found out that *67' clocks my caller ID for outbound calls (called "block ID") so I dialed (star)67 and the mysterious tele-stalker's number. After 2 rings, finally I get this stern, professional-sounding Latino lady answering who identifies herself as "Los Angeles County Corrections."
I explained how relived I was to finally get somebody and that I was really getting sick and tired of all these mysterious calls originating from this number and that it called me several times per day and often at night with no messages left nor any response when I pick up the phone, and that if I ignore it long enough, my answering machine would get it but no message was ever left.
As I was explaining this, the rude Hispanic corrections officer continually tried to cut me off, I told her to shut up until I finished my friggin' complaint and suddenly she was furiated, started yelling and spewing horrific Spanish curse words, screaming that I was breaking Local, State and Federal laws and that she would make sure I was arrested for "intent-to commit wire-fraud against the State of California," having the audacity to accuse me of committing a felony by admitting I had used CALL ID BLOCKING while contacting a California Bureau of Prisons divisional office and that concealing my identity through CALL ID BLOCK (which my VOIP provider, Comcast, gives as a free add-on, like 3-ways calling, voice mail or call-forwarding?!) That's a Federal Crime?! Since when did legislation get passed that makes using (Star)67 a felony in the State of California when calling UNKNOWN MYSTERIOUS NUMBERS THAT HARASS DAY AND NIGHT AND VEX ME TO NO END?!!!
How am I suddenly the BAD GUY HERE? The Bureau of Prisons harass me by auto-dialing my number in a call-loop like fifty trillion times and when I finally reach the end of my rope and try to find out who's phishing my new Comcast number, I get busy. Finally I somehow manage to obtain a real live person on the other end, instead of the usual DEAD AIR, and all they can do is try to ACCUSE ME of committing Acts of Terrorism against Homeland Security?!! What kind of NAZI-ruled 3rd world nation has America turned into? Gimme a break, this is an absolute nightmare and surely not legal activity.
The Mexican corrections lady proceed to inform me with a no-less-colorful reply, that she has just initiated a trace on my line with the intention of reporting me to Homeland Security for suspicious terrorist-activity and that I would be arrested for tele-stalking HER???!?!!!! WHAT THE F***??!?!
Will somebody get these inmate-crazy psycho nazi's off my line? This is a BRAND NEW Comcast VOIP residential number and I don't appreciate being harassed and telestalked by shadowy, unknown personnel running some scam/fraud operation from the Bureau of Prisons on behalf of corrupt, income-desperate Federal Corrections Dept from America's #1 bankrupt State known as "California."
PLEASE GET A LIFE!! STAY THE F*** OFF MY NEW PHONE LINE!!! YOU'RE THE F***ING TERRORISTS, STOP VICTIMIZING HONEST TAX-PAYING CITIZENS AND TRYING TO CHARGE AND ARREST US FOR CALLING YOU OUT ON YOUR FRAUDULENT, DUBIOUS CRIMINAL TELESCAM!!
And NO, I do not want to be another falsely accused inmate in your NAZI-ruled prison camps, nor will I fall victim into the web of deceit your representatives push on people in hopes of drumming up new business by adding more inmates to your already overcrowded facilities.
I will not be fraudulently charged for committing acts of terrorism against you for using *67 call feature to CALL YOU BACK. I am NOT your dumb little puppet that you can PREY UPON. You may have stolen America to do your evil bidding and intend to put all Americans in jail, but I will not fall victim by your snares nor help you fill-to-capacity your barbed-wired human cages, just so you can obtain more Federal Bailouts and build even larger incarceration facilities to put more innocent people in prison when they call you back. Stop being evil, stop trying to boost your bankrupt state's dead economy or lift the unemployment numbers by hiring more skilless unemployed masses to run your prison industry!!
