They are most illegal. The problem is---these are cybercriminals using computers to spoof their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to trace and prosecute. Your best bet is to invest in a call blocker which can block numbers from multiple area codes. They are sold on Amazon.
I received a call from the same # 6/24/2015 @ 4:50. I let it go to voice mail. I listened and this was the message. Hello this message is for Ringo Harris. "My name is Stacy Silverman. I'm a highway courier in the area. I'm giving you a call today in regards to some documentation that requires your signature. You need to make yourself available tomorrow between the hours of 10 and 12 with 2 forms of id and a witness with you to sign off on this documentation. I'm assuming that you may be at work around that time so I will be stopping there first. If you're not there I will head out to your home. If you don't show up I will be marking it down as a direct refusal to comply, which is gonna lead us to further actions (and something else I couldn't understand, she kept yawning) If you have any questions about this documentation you may contact the following party @ 844-466-6175. When you call they will ask for a document #. Your document # will be 456719-9735. Thank you and I'll see you soon.
