The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has just ruled that the telephone companies can and should provide free blockers within their systems to block these scammers and con artists.
There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to the phone companies—responsible for these phone calls—to offer free scam blockers.
The telephone companies are dragging their feet. They do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone Robocalls to consumers.
Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Also, contact your Congressman. Congress should address this issue since it is a federal problem. My Congressman Garamendi has not responded after 10 E-mails, but I hope you have a better Congressperson than me.

When I get a call like this one I pick up the phone and immediately play the video while holding the phone close to the speakers. I'm hoping this will get me off their list. Just started doing this a week ago so I don't know if it works yet.
