Got a call from this number today, but I didn't pick up. If you call it back, a recording tells you that if you're calling because you saw the number in your caller ID to disregard it, but if you want to call Downtown Cellular, call them at 213-673-4775. I called that store to ask what was going on, and the guy there claimed no knowledge; says someone "stole his line" and he's changed his number.
By one digit?

My hubby is working in New Mexico, when he called this evening the number showed up on my Caller ID, he was on his cell phone. We both called the number when we hung up and received the same recording as posted above - strange!
It's from XM radio... a promotion where a person goes online and types in information about you and your cell phone number, and then XM radio calls you in the voice of an athlete. It's meant to be funny, and kinda is actually. A co-worker did it to me this morning.
