They called and said they were from a home protection company. Offered me a discount on a home security system in exchange for a sign in my yard. When I said no thanks, the caller said something I didn't understand and when I said, "Excuse me?" she hung up. I tried to call back and it only hangs up before it even rings. STRANGE!!!
Got two calls from them today. First time nothing, second time something about home security. When I asked where they had gotten number, something about a friend. This appears to be random dialing, in that I do not give out the number.
Called and an automated device with a female voice wanted to know my name, and if I was the homeowner. The caller was identified over the phone as "home security service". She said her job was to find out if I qualified for a free demonstration of home security, and if I was, I would be turned over to a live operator. She then asked if I owned my home and I answered "no", to get rid of this unwanted call. Apparently the company is located in Los Angeles, CA.
Got a call today from the 5376 number, 4th time this week. It's some type of bogus alarm company. I used my *60 feature which blocks the number. After it was blocked, got a call from 800-951-5149...same company! Blocked it also. I used the 'do not call' list, but they have no teeth to do aything about it!
