I get these marketing calls, and the one in question, too, but before my EGO takes over and I HAVE TO ANSWER ALL THOSE IMPORTANT CALLS (sarcasm here), I LOOK at the displayed number, such as the 213 number, and if I DON'T RECOGNIZE IT...I DON'T ANSWER IT AND JUST DELETE IT!!! Maybe if all you self-centered morons would control your adult ADD and not answer every call you think you have to answer, you might get rid of these marketing calls! But, then, you'd have nothing to draw attention to yourselves and complain about! Get a more productive life, already!
i'm sorry that i dislike getting constant phone calls from a stranger. i'm happy to hear it doesn't bother you. Thank you for your suggestion that we look at the caller ID and then not answer. Unfortunately, some of us HAVE to answer the calls, even though we don't know the number, and it has nothing to do with having "adult ADD" or being a "self-centered moron". Some of us happen to get a lot of valid calls from unfamiliar numbers because of our jobs. Some of us are job hunting across the country and get unfamiliar numbers calling in response to job inquiries. Some of us have family/friends that live in the area, so when we see the familiar area code, we might answer out of concerned that something happened. There are plenty of reasons why someone might answer a call from an unfamiliar number.
I shouldn't have to change my civilized behavior of answering the phone when it rings simply because some company wants to place an unsolicited (and therefore illegal) call to me.
Congratulations on having such an obviously productive life.
I got a call said they were Home Security Systems, wouldn't answer any of my questions but wanted my personal information to transfer the call to someone who would answer my questions. Do no know how they recieved my number.
